"Lake of Fire" is the second stage in the Volcano Cavern Area, and the twelfth level in Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure.
Overview[]
The Stage takes place in a rocky island, with 3 layers of height, the middle of which has a stone bridge. In the lowest layer lies the Treasure Chest, on top of a wooden pillar in the middle of a giant pit, which has stairs that lead to a giant Volcano with an evil face, with a door keeping the lava from overflowing into the Stage and 2 giant fangs.
At the same time, there is a giant pot of water near the pit, with three stone doors guarding it. There are also 2 boulders being kept from rolling by wooden pillars
Walkthrough[]
- Find the fainted Rose Rock Goon, itemize it and place the Goon Totem in one of the pedestals in front of the stairs
- Grab the Fang Piece near you and examine it, the base of the Fang Piece is randomized each time and you must find the one with the triangular base (The other Fang Pieces are found in pots)
- When you find the right Fang Piece, go up the stairs until you arrive at the gates of the volcano, place the Fang Piece in the incomplete giant Fang to the right.
Doing so will cause a river of lava to flow and fill the pit where the Treasure Chest is - Explore the stage until you find another fainted Rose Rock Goon, itemize it and place the totem in a pedestal near the stair pedestal where you placed the Goon Totem in the 1st Step
- Find the Centipede near the bridge, itemize it and use the Centi-saw to saw off a wooden pillar to make a bridge
- Saw off the other wooden pillar at the other side of the bridge
- Saw off the wooden pillar holding the boulder back. Doing this will knock down the giant water pot and freeze the lava pit
- Exorcise the Clinging Curse to get the Zorn Candelabra

Treasures[]
Game Overs[]
- Making the boulder roll down and knock the water pot before you place the Fang Piece and release the lava, will make you unable to finish the Stage
- If you release the lava at this point, while the pit will be filled, the wooden pillar where the Chest stands on won't burn, sawing it off will knock the Treasure Chest out of the stage into the lava below, resulting in a Game Over
- Making the boulder roll down without placing a Goon Totem in the pedestal will make the boulder fall off the Stage, leaving you unable to complete it

Mysterious Treasure[]
After knocking down the Water Pot and destroying the stone doors, you will find a sparkle near the Water Pot and behind where the stone doors were, if you ring Wiki, there is a chance you will find GUN.SMOKE
Lucky Bird[]
Don't break any pot, instead, go inmediatly to the Blue Pot where Johnny is hiding. After talking to him, he will hide inside one of the normal pots (At random) and if you find him at the first try, the Lucky Bird will appear

After knocking down the Water Pot and hardening the lake, place a Goon Totem on a hidden pedestal under a black rock found right next to the Water Pot

Trivia[]
- This is the only Stage that has a Game-Over where neither Zack nor Wiki die, being the only Stage where the player can destroy the Treasure Chest
- According to the in-game Concept Art, the Giant Balls of the stage were originally spiked metal balls rather than the volcanic boulders in the game
