"The Crystal Key" is a level in "Zack and Wiki Quest for Barbaros' Treasure", the first of the Frozen Temple and the seventh overall.
Overview[]
The level consists of a small room with a towering 2-Headed Lion Statue (One dark blue, that freezes water, and one sky blue, that pours water) and differently colored molds, with the Treasure Chest being locked away behind a layer of colored doors
Walkthrough[]
- Use the B button to see the order of the layers of the door guarding the Treasure Chest (Green ➪ Dark Blue ➪ Sky Blue)
- Pull the lever in the middle of the stage to see how it rotates the Lion Head Statues
- After the cutscenes ends, pull it again
- Examine the mold pieces to the left of the Lion Head statues and arrange them in the order of the Door (Green ➪ Dark Blue ➪ Sky Blue)
- Examine the panel to the right and pick up the Ice Bar, place it on top of the mold colored pieces
- Pull the lever twice to make another Ice Bar
- Examine the ray of light and use the Ice Bar as a magnifying glass to melt the other Ice Bar you've placed on Step #5
- Pull the lever to freeze the molten Ice Bar to make the Ice Key
- Use the Ice Key to open the sealed door guarding the Treasure
- Exorcise the Clinging Curse and get the Verbitterung Axe

At the west wall of the level there are two keyholes, into the lefthand keyhole, insert an Ice Key made using the following mold-order: Sky Blue ➪ Green ➪ Dark Blue

In the West wall of the level, insert an Ice Bar into the right-hand keyhole to get the Secret Treasure Map #13
